Aircraft Spirals Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Beach
A helicopter hovering above a crowded California beach abruptly began spiraling wildly, ultimately dropping height and plunging into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Footage shared on the internet show the aircraft commencing to spiral over the shoreline then falling in the direction of the perimeter of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a set of stairs near the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Information
Local firefighters stated five people were rushed to the hospital involving two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on that day.
Three people on the road were hurt. Specifics on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
