Prince William Will Participate in COP30 Climate Summit in South America

Prince William will represent the COP30 climate summit in South America next month, as announced by royal officials.

The father and son duo appeared together on Thursday evening at a reception leading up to the climate summit, which is scheduled to take place in the northern Brazilian city of Belém.

The King and Prince were in attendance at the scientific institution event, marking an rare public appearance together at a pre-COP30 gathering organized in partnership with the United Kingdom administration.

Environmental Advocacy Commitment

The King has been a consistent supporter of biodiversity preservation - and Prince William has taken on the baton, with his own climate innovation awards, which will be taking place in South America preceding the climate conference.

Official representatives have described Prince William's attendance at the forthcoming conference as stepping up an significant responsibility in "global climate discussions".

Previous Activities

The King and Prince of Wales, arriving together in the royal vehicle, were greeted attendees such as environmentalists, scientists, climate change campaigners, diplomats and politicians.
