Two Individuals Charged with Jail Killing of Former Lostprophets Frontman Ian Watkins

Two men have been formally charged with murder following the incarceration fatality of one-time Lostprophets vocalist and convicted child sex offender Ian Watkins.

The two men, Rashid Gedel (25) and Samuel Dodsworth (43) stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by police authorities.

Watkins, 48, was undergoing a 29-year incarceration at HMP Wakefield, plus an additional six years on license, after pleading guilty to multiple sexual crimes which included the effort to sexually assault an infant.

Watkins was apprehended subsequent to a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a substantial collection of electronic devices including computers, phones and drives were confiscated.
